Transit: An Odyssey Between Arrival and Departure

Transit is an editorial campaign spanning print, web, and social touchpoints for Basic Media.

Transit reframes the airport as a stage where fashion disrupts function to assert identity within global sameness, transforming the threshold between departure and arrival into a space of performance.

The project resists the standardisation of contemporary travel, drawing on the discipline of 1980s travel codes and David Bowie’s expressive disruption.

A CGI-led visual system was developed to construct a hyperreal environment, using architectural reduction and directional lighting to engineer escapism.

The Campaign was published internationally across 25 markets, generating 68,000 impressions and 2,300 social engagements.

TRANSIT reclaims the airport as a runway for identity in transit.

STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK

The airport operates as a stage, with interiors reduced to geometric forms. Neutral architecture sets a controlled baseline, while colour drives hierarchy across the environment and styling. Tailored silhouettes and elevated materials define identity within transit.
